LEAVE HER ALONE started from a concern about the reality where, among the flood of daily news about misogyny, only a few shocking incidents get attention — and even those are quickly forgotten.

By collecting and analyzing scattered incidents in one place, we aim to accurately understand the reality of misogyny in our society and ultimately contribute to solving this problem.

Every day, we collect and document news about discrimination, violence, and hatred against women.

News Collection

Every day after midnight, we automatically collect the previous day's news from major Korean media outlets.

Step 1 — Keyword Filter

We filter articles containing keywords related to misogyny and violence. This first step quickly removes irrelevant articles.

Step 2 — AI Review

AI reads each article directly to determine whether it is genuinely related to violence or hatred against women. This catches articles that keywords alone cannot identify.

Grouping Same Incidents

Articles from different outlets covering the same incident are grouped together. One representative article is selected, and the rest are linked as related articles.

Storage

Filtered and organized articles are saved to our database for use in statistical analysis and search.

Incident Data Extraction

AI analyzes crime articles to extract structured information: the relationship between perpetrator and victim, location and method, and type of violence. This enables in-depth statistical analysis.
